
TJ has been engaged as a consultant on media strategy, visual storytelling, and/or product and news design by large news organisations, including Google, NewsCorp Australia, and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
He has also provided training sessions on AI and journalism and visual storytelling for small- and medium-sized news outlets and organisations.
As a former designer, he has considerable graphic design expertise and takes on a small number of research publication design projects each year (either as the sole designer or as a consultant to suggest improvements to another designer’s work) outside his full-time role as an academic.
